Product Warranties, Returns and Refunds

Product Warranties

Our products are manuafactured to the highest standards by high quality manufacturers. Each manufacturer warranties their products against defect and you will need to familiarise yourself with their warranty policies and your rights under those warranties. 

Each manuafacturers warranty is a contract between the manufacturer and the end user of the product and does not hold Southern Sun Drones liable for any warranty action.

Southern Sun Drones can organise for Warranty repairs to be carried out by one of its suppliers best suited to carrying out those repairs. Any Returns required under any manufacturer warranty are as described in the specific manufacturer warranty for the product in question.

Warranties offered by manufacturers are in addition to warranties guaranteed under Australian Consumer Law.

Limitation of Liability

Southern Sun Drones and any of its Warranty and Repair providers are NOT responsible for any loss or disclosure of any customer data that may be contained in a product when it is received for service or warranty repair.

Except as provided in manufacturer product warranties and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Southern Sun Drones and any of its Warranty and Repair providers are NOT responsible for any direct, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of actual or anticipated or expected profits or savings, loss of revenue, loss of the use of money, loss of business, opportunity costs, loss of reputation or goodwill or any indirect or consequential loss or damage howsoever caused.


If your product  is not what you ordered or has arrived dead or damaged please email the details to us WITHIN 24 Hours of receipt ( You MUST Include images showing any damage.

Ensure that you retain the product packaging and return the product in that packaging. 

When placing an order with Southern Sun Drones, you should make your choice carefully, as our policy does not provide a refund if a you have simply changed your mind about your purchase once you have received your product, if your selection was made due to an error on the your part, or if the product is found to be offered at a better price from another retailer.
However, we are prepared to consider each request on an individual basis, and may be willing to provide an exchange or credit for the value of the product provided it is unused and in perfect condition.

Products will usually only be considered for Return if they;

  • are not the product that you ordered. (Please be certain that you make the correct product selection. If you make a wrong selection then a refund will be at our discretion.)
  • they have arrived 'dead' or damaged in transit

If you have any difficulties in getting a product to work, your first step should be to check the product manual to ensure that the product is set up correctly. If this does not rectify the issue, your are encouraged to Contact Us, Call Us (0428322240) or Email us (  to go through possible solutions.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer or wholesale supplier.


Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If the returned product meets the eligibility requirements for Returns a refund (or exchange product) will be approved.

If a refund is approved, then your refund will be processed by us within 48 hours, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet;

  1. First check your bank account again.
  2. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
  3. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
  4. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at

Return Shipping

To return your product, you must have first emailed us within 24 hours of receipt of your product.

Ensure that you retain the product packaging and return the product in that packaging. 

We will then provide you with Instructions about how to return your product.

Products MUST be returned within 14 days of the purchase date.

It is important that if the product is not what you ordered or arrives 'dead' or damaged  that you CONTACT US WITHIN 24 HOURS as we will pay the cost of Return Shipping in this instance.

If you have made a mistake about the product that you have ordered and we correctly send the product that you order we may accept it back for refund, but you will have to pay both the original Shipping Cost and the Return Shipping.
